Let Us Support Our President

Nigerians Let's Support Our president

By: JS. Salihu

Nigerians were expected to help the present administration to get rid of the quagmire that the country found herself in. But, what a pity! A group of unpatriotic Nigerians are aiming to dispatch President Buhari, Very bad indication of disunity amongst our people who are not able to advert the efforts of the government of the day.

The catastrophe of the economy recession is one of the major challenges President Buhari is facing. Despite his strong drive to resuscitate the Agriculture sector and his agitation for corruption-free nation, there are still group of people who will oppose him.
In instance, after the bombings and attacks of Boko Haram at the north east, the president went and declared a State of lawlessness and call the military to support the people in times of emergency and showing his commitments for the people which the bigots negated saying it implies martial law. This is how our nation weakened. Instead of supporting our leaders we pull and pick at them without justifiable cause.

If these will not end, and our country will continue like this there will be no prosperity. United we stand, divided we fall. Despite of the catastrophe, the best way to ensure peace in the land is to reform the hearts of the people.

It's unfortunate, I know of BIG people; authors and activists, advocates of good governance, people who preach to the world they only mean well to the less privilege but 'mishandled' what was trusted on them for refugees in Jos, both during the crisis in 2003 and the flooding 4 years back!
Some of these people still live, they are aware we know them and some of them still didn't change.

Although, they still preach change, are they being fare to the IDPs? Please tell me, how in Nigeria could a system change if these kind of people didn't at least fear God? It's absolutely true that, "if we didn't kill corruption, corruption will kill us." - president Muhammad Buhari.

According to the Lotus sutra of Philippine, "GREAT EVIL OCCUR, GREAT GOOD WILL FOLLOW". I think the sufferings that we Nigerians experienced, as the Lotus sutra says, is the wrong beliefs or philosophy that we hold in our hearts.

we didn't value dignity and we didn't have respect for living beings. Someone Once asked a reformer, what is the root cause of human sufferings? and he replied" It is the deluded workings of one's mind"
