Who is who? By Muhammad Gaddaf Gee

"Who is who?" By Muhammad Gaddaf Gee

Nigeria is a nation which has been persistently dominated by ethnicity, religious sentiment, social stratification, political disorder and poor education standard. These however, has been prevalent right from the pre-colonial period up till today.

Therefore, a lot of questions has been raised by so many nationalists on why the above mentioned hurdles are yet to be sorted out, considering their prolonged existence in the nation.

I would like to draw the attention of every living citizen of Nigeria to take a minute breath and ask himself/herself about what crucial role has he/she ever played towards the betterment of our beloved country?

I believe a lot of outrageous answers awaits the above cited question. Indeed outrageous, because I know only one percent out of hundred could be true. I repeat, only one percent out of hundred could be true. This is so, because the tradition remains " I and my family first "

The reason why I seek to blame the masses is that, everybody is aware that most of the nations in the world are occupied mainly by the masses. And, the masses are responsible for the development of the country they reside. But we decided to fold our arms and claim that the solution of the problem is beyond our capacity, allowing those political fraudsters to continue destroying our fatherland.

Despite the challenges contained in the strive for justice, it is yet vital to note that, it is the negligence to justice that made us started thinking about " I and my family first ", believing it is the only way to survive in Nigeria, forgetting the fact that, every citizen has right upon one another. Therefore, I urge every hand to be on deck to ensure our nation's prosperity as opined by a great activist.

             "it is time to reclaim
              our country from the
              political fraudsters"
           -Mubarak Muhammad
                    (Dan Aluta)

Poor education standard is what commonly result to lack of knowledge about what condition the nation is in, and who are those responsible for its being in this catastrophic condition. However, it is intentionally denied to the masses by the so-called Nigeria leaders, for the purpose of denying them access to the national cake

Before moving forward, I urge my fellow Nigerians to stress emphasis on education.

Ethnicity and religious sentiment also occupied a serious space in our nation's problem, both politically and socially. We obviously find it difficult to support a person  who does not practice our religion or share the same ethnic background with us and even difficult to associate with them.

The last but not the least fundamental issue is that of social stratification.

Nigeria is amongst the countries that are highly socially stratified. We have the upper, middle, and lower classes respectively. The upper class is occupied mainly by the bourgeois and the ruling party. They dominate the lion's share of the national cake and every fruitful job opportunities in the nation, thereby reserving better jobs for their children and relatives. Example of these people are: top government officials and large company owners. They are fraudsters and have limited education.

The middle class contain educated and intellectual people. These people can cover for some of their expenses. Example are: medical doctors, lecturers, lawyers, and the like.

The lower class include those who are sometimes partially educated, unemployed people, and often survive via what is called "eating from hand to mouth".

In a nutshell, I would conclude by emphasizing about the fact that, the responsibility of our nation's prosperity at this point lies in the hands of the middle class. This is so, because they are the educated people who have the capability of challenging and agitating the upper class. But unfortunately, they prefer being busy seeking for a huge government appointments or nomination instead of striving for a better Nigeria.

At this juncture, I regret to say that almost every citizens' movement in
Nigeria is ventured by personal and selfish interests, and not selfless service to Nigeria community.
