Money Cannot Buy Love - Survey

www.themedia.com.ng Monthly Survey

By: The Media Editor

The maiden Monthly Survey by www.themedia.com.ng, has revealed that money cannot buy love. It could be recalled that at the beginning of March 2017, a monthly survey question "Can Money Buy Love?", was posted on this site and readers were asked to send their submissions to a designated number.

Many entries were made and 20 responses were purposively selected the the purpose of the study. However, the survey, which may be limited in generalization, affirmed that Money cannot buy Love.

Below are the what readers opined:

Ayoola Imran
No, true love is not a displayed wares in the market that can be bought at any affordable price. To be candid, sincerity and honesty are two factors to get true love. It's quite unfortunate, that true love is very rare to be found among our today's young lovers. As far as am concerned, true love has nothing to do with money. Even though, if one win a lady's heart with money accidentally such love would hardly see the light of the day.

Jaji Kazeem
Yes, Because that money is needed in anything that love needed...

Issa Ayodeji Mustapha
Love is an emotion that connects two unconnected people. Forging of this bond requires investment of time, faith, goodwill etc. apart from an equal desire on both sides to explore a possible common road.              They come to know to each other, like each other, help and care for each other, enjoy each other's company, learn about how to deal with each other's quirks and slowly move to a point where they may feel the other person is an absolutely integral, inseparable part of their life. Do note I'm not limiting myself to any one form of love here.
Money doesn't figure anywhere in that process, does it? Sure, it could make things easier and more fun at some places allowing them to buy each other expensive stuff or visit exotic places together, for instance  but that's all. Moreover, they can have a good time together without or with less of that money as well; if, on the other hand, there is a repulsive force between them, no amount of money can change that to bring them closer. That's why they say money can't buy you love. You buy commodities, love isn't a commodity. You buy matter made by people to sell, love isn't that. You buy experiences, love is so much more than that. Basically, you buy stuff that some governing system or authority has assigned a fixed value to, love is not that either because it is highly personal. Purchasing is a one-time activity, you give something and you get something. Emotional relationships are a long-time, continuous investment; sometimes you get a little back, sometimes a lot, and sometimes nothing.

Yes, Money Can buy Love. Because most of ladies can't be with a man these days without money and money constitutes 90% of things that keep love going.

Abdul Ahmad sir reader
In postmodern world, I will likely say "yes" money can buy love because women need only enjoyment. As well as social needs...
They don't care about satisfaction, attractiveness and life motivation
When asking some Ladies in a temporary discussion about how would men confront them without  money they only laugh at me and reply sorry.
They also say money is the primary sources of creating love....

Usman Bello Balarabe ( U.B.B)
Of course, money can buy love. Nowadays, we are in the era of money buy everything. Meaning that, if you have money, you can get whatever you want at your doorstep. The ladies now are more after what you have not what you really are. They are after what you buy for them, not what you say to them. They are after how expensive you project yourself, not how responsible you are. They are after how much you call them, not how much you really love them. Therefore, base on the above reasons, it can be deduced that, love relationship is purely capitalistic in nature. Without the material resources, all the plans will be futile, because there is lack of good strategy ( material Resources)

Money cannot buy love.
If a lady does not love a guy no mater how rich he is that lady will never love him cox he is not her desire.

Mohammed Rufai
Ordinarily d word love is dynamic.... But d general view pertaining to the word love that involved male and female in this current generation is Money....

Muhammad Auwal Umar
Love isn't a commodity it is an emotional feeling of attraction of the member of the opposite sex. It has to do with psychology and chemistry. I believe if the bond of LOVE really exists, it can't be bought by money.

Aminu Muhammad
Money cannot buy Love. To my believe, Love is natural. So, Money can only buy attention but not real heart.

Abdullahi Usman Muhammad
Money can buy Love. Because you can't expect a rich man's daughter to marry a poor man son.

Akinola Eniola Islam
Money can't buy Love.
My reason why I said that someone can't buy love with money is that some girls love their boyfriend or husband not because of their money but because of their behaviour and let me tell you a quote 'love is not about money but about feelings'. Thank you.

Olabisi Musharaf Remilekun
I choose to say NO because, from my own perspective of the matter, Money can't buy love because love is a natural of the heart, irrespective of money or wealth, love will remain firm and rigid in as much as its natural and true. Notwithstanding, money can buy love but not true love which the end result or aftermath will result to lust.

Cellou Abubakar
Yes, money can buy love
Money can buy love by showing nd buy things needed by a lady.
Sometimes, a little bit of travelling, shopping outing & spoiling her wit gifts will do.

 kabir Ibrahim Jibril
(No), The question requires me to state clearly why I said No. it's because the liquid assets (money) can't buy love but cause nature to be loved by those dandelion (girls/boys) who are born with a silver spoon.
However, most of these dandelion unconsciously desire for liquid assets or gold teeth adhere their conscious minds and fortunately timeless regret object.

Muhammad Bravo
Money cannot buy love. If really they mean the word "love". No matter how rich you are, if really she's in love with someone, she won't let him go.

Ahmed Sanusi jibia
Yes.
Not in all cases, but in most cases - yes. I will not talk about gold-diggers here and I don’t support a cynical view that anybody is for sale, it’s just a matter of how much money is needed. The reason why money can buy you love is simple:
money gives you more reasons to be ‘lovable’, making you more likely to eventually find love:
So, all else being equal, the points above could make a person more attractive, improving the chances to find love. And how do you get those points above? That’s right: you buy them with money. Therefore: in some cases money can buy you LOVE.

Nasir Sardauna
NO if it's real love Co's it from the grass root of the heart so anything from the heart it will not be sold Co's u can't remove ur heart and give it to some one and collect money from him

USMAN S GEZAWA
No.
LOVE is something in the minds and hearts of Humankind, put by Their CREATOR. It exists between different categories of people, therefore, it's of different types. Hence, MONEY CAN NOT BUY TRUE LOVE.
